The Turing Test, proposed by Alan Turing in 1950, is a measure of a machine’s ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. If a human evaluator cannot reliably tell the machine apart from a human based on responses to questions, the machine is said to have passed the test.
